Who is classed as user or staff

Staff are different to users, users are members of staff that "use" IBID, these can be admin, Nurse, Doctor or P.A.M.S, not all staff are users of IBID such as Consultants, but will still need a staff record to allow the user to input relevant data, such as the following.

Staff Records

Please log on to Aquila CRS as "Admin" You should already have a user name and password, if you don't please contact your IT Department to request one.

Once you have entered the Aquila CRS System Administration you will be taken to the IBID Installation and Set Up Page by default.

Along the list of tabs you will see "IBID Installation & Setup", "User and Staff Records", DB Version Hx" and Local PC Settings".

Please click on the User & Staff Records Tab

You will see the users are listed in the top field list and the staff are listed in the bottom field list.

Editing User Records

To edit a user click on the "edit" button, for the user these are the first set of edit buttons coloured gold.

Once you have entered in your "New User" as shown in Managing Users there are only a few fields that should be edited

Role Fields

Role - This is your user role within the service i.e. doctor for example ,this field will need to be edited when staff members role has changed.

Grade - This normally only applies to members who have a given grade, Doctors Nurses Ect, and will only be edited once the staff member's grade has changed.

Password Settings Fields

Password Lifespan - this will force a change of password after the number of days indicated - For Security admin staff can force a password change after the allotted number of days by entering a number in the "Password Lifespan" Field.
Force Password Change at Next Log on - For security reasons this tick box allows admin to force the user to change their password the next time they log on.
Inactive & Disabled boxes - can be ticked if the user has left or is on secondment.
Current Failed attempt count - this keeps count of the failed logins. Please note 3 failed logins will take you out if the login screen 6 failed logins will mark you as "disabled", you will then need to contact your IT Department to delete your failed access attempts and perhaps change your password to allow you to access Aquila CRS.

Staff Fields

To edit staff click on the "Edit Staff" this is located in the second set of buttons coloured blue.
