In the Prevention section there is an opportunity to record information about other factors relating to the burn injury eg; the appliance type, make and model where applicable. You can also record who was present at the time of the injury. This information will be used to take forward a prevention message and influence change by assessing the trends associated with the episode recorded.

Choose the relevant information from the drop down list of searchable items, with a free type box for living circumstances contributing to the injury or episode.






Causation Clothing

Clothing

Information entered previously into these fields in the Causation tab are carried forward to populate these fields. Similarly if you enter the information here, it will be entered into the identical fields in Causation.

Clothing Item - drop down list to select the type of garment that caught fire.

Clothing Fabric - drop down list to select the type of fabric of the garment in question.

Fire Resistant - Tick this box if the clothing was made from Fire Resistant material. Ticking this box will automatically tick the Clothing Fire Box.

Completion of these fields will help to understand the flammability nature of the clothing worn at the time of the incident.

Appliance Details

Appliance Daetails

These fields give background of any appliance that was a contributor to the injury.

Appliance - Choose from drop down list the appliance type.

Appliance Make - Free type the make of appliance entered in the field above.

Age of Appliance - Choose from drop down list the approximate age of the appliance.

Appliance Acquired - Choose new or second hand from drop down list.

Owner of Appliance - Was the appliance new or borrowed, choose from drop down list.

Instructions Available - Tick box if the instructions were available for the appliance.

Others Present

Others Present

Choose from tick box any other person present at the time of the incident. More than one box can be ticked.

Once the iBID Prevention fields have been completed iBID Referral fields will need to be completed. For more information on Referral fields please follow link to IBID Referral









Editor Types

Date Editor

Can free type date or select from drop down calender. Enter "Today" or press "Clear to exit without entering data.

Time Editor

Can free type time or use scroll bars at the right of data field.

Date & Time Editor

Free type date dd/mm/yyy and time 00.00, or drop down list. Choose "today" button if event was day of inputting data or "Clear to exit field without data entered.

Drop Down / Lookup List

The Lookup List is a collection of common names, places, catagorys, or other types of information that can help you choose a required field. Click on the down arrow to the right of the data field, highlight the relevant information to enter.

Staff Drop Down / Lookup List

Populated by staff names entered as "Users" in Administration.

'Yes/No/(Don't Know Drop Down

A special kind of drop down list to allow a clearer selection of yes, no & don't know when compared to the tick box. Used predominantly in the iBID editors, but due to roll out to all data-entry fields. Input via keyboard can be acheived by pressing Y or N on the keyboard.

Tickbox

Checked - Positive with a known value = 1.

Unchecked - Negative with a known value = 0.

Gray - Don't know with a value = null.

Please note: Check boxes are grey (Unknown) by default.

Postcode Editor (2 part)

Free type 1st part of postcode letters and numbers.

Free type 2nd part of postcode numbers and letters.

Text Field

A free type field to enter as much detail as possible.

(Note: Max 255 characters)

Memo Field

A free type field to enter as much detail as possible (Unlimited chars)

Automatically Filled in Fields

Sometimes shaded, Aquila will fill in these fields automatically from the data entered in previous fields.
